Chapter 44 - 44 He was an annoying snake
"Did you have breakfast?" Kyra asked, keeping a distance between them.
Lucas shook his head. "Let's go downstairs. We can ask someone to bring us food," he suggested
They descended the stairs together, entering a crowded hall filled with beastmen, among whom stood Vincent.
He stood out from the crowd with his dark red eyes and a cold aura. He appeared engrossed in conversation with someone.
As if he sensed their presence, Vincent glanced back at them, his face devoid of expression.
Kyra averted her gaze from him while Lucas approached someone to request food. A person from the kitchen swiftly returned with two plates of food.
Kyra noticed that the hall was crowded and wondered what was happening.
Lucas said, "Kyra, let's eat over there," pointing to the dining table. She nodded, and they quickly had breakfast.
After breakfast, she turned to Lucas after they finished eating. "What's happening here?" she inquired.
