Chapter 16 - 16 Careful
"I mean, your cooking is incomparable! I've never tasted anything so delicious in my life. I just want to keep eating it forever, wuhhhh," he exclaimed with delight, taking another slice.
"Thank you," Kyra blushed, her cheeks turning a rosy shade as she too began to eat.
"My mom sent some clothes for you. You can change into them, and then we can go on a tour of the tribe and the market," he suggested after finishing his meal.
"Lucas, I want to express my gratitude to you," she said, smiling warmly at him. Wolf grinned happily in response.
'Why thank me? Just kiss me already,' he thought to himself, but when he looked at her face, the words couldn't escape his lips.
"Go change and get ready. I'll wait for you," he said, quickly making his way to the kitchen for a drink of water.
Having Kyra with him made Lucas happy. He no longer felt lonely.
He didn't like being alone, but he also had a fear lingering within him—what if Kyra left him for her world? He wondered how different her world was from his own.
Lost in his thoughts, he walked back and settled on his sofa, deep in contemplation.
