Chapter 2236: Two choices
The Cosmic Races Law Council was the name of a high-level parliamentary organization established by the cosmic races of the universe. Many people actually preferred to call this organization the Council of Elders or the Assembly Hall.
Although the cosmic races of the universe were divided into three major factions and resided on seven survivor fortresses resembling planets, to some extent, they were a single alliance—an alliance against the Slave Race.
Since it was an alliance, it necessarily required an institution similar to Earth's United Nations to coordinate and manage certain matters.
Such an institution might not have absolute decision-making power that carried great weight. In many instances, it might merely be a symbol. But under some special circumstances, this institution could play a considerable role.
Of course, more often than not, it was a tool used by those super clans to control the medium and small races beneath them. For matters involving super clans, the institution's greatest function was to create new and creative forms of bickering, and it could certainly account for about thirty percent of the trending topics for one or two cosmic years.
To put it bluntly, this institution existed when you needed it, and when you did not, it was just a decoration.
Now, His Highness Delma of the Reina Star people had said that this matter should be reported to the Cosmic Races Law Council, and things instantly became complicated.
Because when that happened, there would be too many manipulable elements. As for how to manipulate them, that would depend on the outcome of the various factions.
The Huo'er Star people did not want to see Delma, because no matter the outcome, it would certainly not be as good as what they had negotiated with the Su Clan now. And the Su Clan people did not want to see Delma, because once it went through the Cosmic Races Law Council, the price they would have to pay would certainly be much greater than what had been agreed upon now.
