Their level wasn't high, and their bodies were very soft, like blades of grass, but their teeth were sharp. Basically, equipment below the Gold grade could be bitten through. The wounds weren't large or deep, and the injuries were even very light, but they would inject a toxin with a hallucinogenic effect into the Evolved's body. Evolved at Level Four and below would be affected immediately, attacking the people around them as enemies. Those above Level Five had a little resistance, and only Level Seven Evolved could be completely immune.

These insects used this characteristic to specifically make Evolved kill each other, after which they would suck blood and eat flesh in the grass.
