They envied Cloud Peak’s crystal weapons in the past and craved them. To be honest, the stronger the faction, the desire for such weapons lowered.
Compared to the Resistance Zone, although the crystal weapons were good, they could create Exquisite Floating Ball, and War Fortresses unique in the apocalypse. To them, these two things weren’t weaker than crystal weapons and were even stronger in some areas.
For example, Thousand Beast Villa. They had a large beast pool equipment that could control and nurture many mutated lifeforms. These fellows were very strong and could improve. You just needed to feed them. It wasn’t as hard as improving technology.
For example, Five Ring Money or Cannibal Chains who focused on trading. They dealt with various businesses and could use money to buy whatever they wanted.
