Chapter 512: CH
The Nova Cannons of the two Super Destroyers fired one after another, with each firing cycle lasting roughly one and a half minutes. Each shot tore chunks out of the Republican warships, while the other ships, not wanting to be left behind, also began attacking like crazy, followed by starfighters and mechs.
Meanwhile, unknown to Mav, Ritika, and Ritik, not too far from the Bright Moon Stars Void, an unidentified advanced stealth vessel was silently hovering.
Its stealth technology was so advanced that it remained completely beyond the detection range of any ship from the Lance Grand Fleet.
The hidden vessel was mysteriously bending the light and gravitational waves around it, allowing them to pass through without any obstruction.
Inside the dimly lit observation deck, figures sat wearing shimmering, phase-shifting cloaks as they watched the total annihilation of Bright Moon Republic’s last armada.
Each person possessed an aura that had at least reached the Genesis Law Realm, with the central figure possessing an even more powerful aura.
"Our intelligence was fundamentally flawed, it seems," one of them whispered, his voice echoing throughout the deck around the table.
"We should have taken the now Celestial Void Empire seriously and should not have treated it as a mere fledgling power that rose through the inheritance of the old Human powers."
"Look at the consequences now." He sighed.
"They have become too powerful. How did they even develop at such a terrifying pace?" Another murmured while watching the holographic feed of the Lance Grand Fleet, its mechs charging straight ahead and shrugging off attacks from Capital-grade weapons as if they were nothing.
He narrowed his eyes. "Their technological superiority is even faintly ahead of ours."
"Does it matter how they did that?" A stern retort came from the figure sitting at the center, instantly silencing the other six figures.
"What should matter now is that they have become an existential threat to all seven of us. And with their ambitions, they will definitely do something that opposes our interests. They are humans, after all."
The older figure then sighed and slowly spoke.
"Having encountered the legacy of that human nation on top of that is even more worrisome for us."
Another of the seven spoke, a chill running down his spine upon hearing the words of the Stark Family Elder.
"Times are changing, and not in our favor. Maybe it is time we should realize that and stop seeing things from our usual perspective. We need to start preparing for the changes that this region will soon go through."
"Just look at these Void Humans—their raw technological superiority and their martial strength! If they continue to simply scale their numbers, even we, the Seven Superpowers of the Milky Way, might actually fail to hold them back despite our millions of years of accumulation."
"At least, our current state won’t allow it," he added.
"Nonsense," an arrogant man scoffed. "Yes, I accept that their technological superiority is a level or even two levels more advanced than ours. After all, from the looks of it, it is clear that they are all mana-based technology-made warships."
"But as for their martial strength, any one of our powers could output that level of martial might, both in scale and number—not to mention all seven of us together."
"Our foundational heritage is not to be underestimated, Zard Merek."
"You might be too young to know everything, but you can’t act like a clueless person who doesn’t even know about his family’s heritage."
Zard Merek’s mouth twitched, but he didn’t refute it and chose to remain silent.
"Good. You better stay silent just like that."
The arrogant man was named Walter of the Boswell Family, one of the super states of the Brannoch Coalition.
"Anyway, what I was saying is..." He pulled his gaze back and looked at everyone.
"If all seven of our powers unite and bring forth our might, we can definitely curb the growth of these Void Humans for a period of time and use that time to make our preparations."
"As hard as I want to refute the words of the Merek Clan boy, I cannot, for it is the reality he speaks about. At our current state, we might truly not be able to take down this Celestial Void Empire of Humans in one full swing."
He looked around at everyone and continued.
"Our wars with the Outer Aliens are never-ending, and when it will end, we do not know. That effectively puts us in a situation where we can’t really pull our forces away to deal with this new threat."
"Indeed. Walter is right, Elder Stark and everyone."
A ministerial-level figure from the Draemoric Imperium spoke.
"We really need to start preparing. If not, we too will become like those in the River of Time."
"With them possessing such might that they can devastate an armada of over two hundred thousand ships with only a mere ten thousand on their own side, and us being unable to muster any form of retaliation, things become much clearer."
"Just as Zard said, times are changing, and it’s time we should change as well."
Silence fell across the deck as Minister Theodore’s words settled over them.
Though they all debated openly and each of them made their own points, despite their outwardly close relationships, they themselves knew what the internal situation truly was.
The word change was easy to speak of, but not so easy to implement—something they all knew very well.
Having adapted to their current practices, telling them to suddenly start changing just because of the appearance of a random powerful force? That might not be happening.
Each of the seven people from seven different countries had their own hidden agendas, tied to their respective goals and those of their home states.
After all, they were but mere surface-level branches of much grander ancient powers distributed across the deeper universe, wielding supreme authority that ordinary civilizations in the Milky Way could never comprehend, let alone compete with.
They might look like they were worried, but that wasn’t truly the case.
If there was something they couldn’t solve themselves, then they had their main factions to step in and help.
So they still had all the time and willingness to wait and watch.
Though, however unwilling they were to watch something else rise within their territory, these seven countries didn’t have much choice of their own. After all, the threat of the Outer Races was even more serious compared to this Celestial Empire of the Human Race.
But while they couldn’t do anything now, they would definitely have to inform their main factions.
And thus, without another word, they all silently dispatched messages through a secured quantum-entanglement transmission directly to their heads of state, relaying this information and their observations for further consideration.
Following that, the stealth ship silently glided through the outer star void and slipped into hyperspace, quickly leaving the void space behind in silence.
At the same time, in an uncharted, barren star system on the outer fringes of the eastern territory of the Milky Way...
Space began to fracture.
One after another, layers of spatial barriers fractured and tore apart. Without any warning, violent spatial thunder boomed throughout the vacuum.
Cracks of dark energy splintered through space and began to rapidly expand into a massive spatial rift.
The rift began to twist and contort, transforming into a black wormhole glowing with a sickly reddish-black hue.
From the wormhole, vast globules of dark, sticky, tar-like substance poured out into space.
They began to solidify, morphing into monstrous shapes—warships, fortresses, behemoth mechas, and chimera-like forms.
The warships were either small or gigantic, and each looked worse than the other. They were biomechanical constructs—monstrosities, with the largest being hundreds of kilometers long.
The fortresses were even more monstrous. They were jagged, completely obsidian half-planetoid stations, bristling with unknown-class weapon systems.
Even those bio-beast-like humanoid things, which from their appearance seemed to be mechanical constructs rather than actual beasts, were several kilometers tall, each wielding giant, cold weapons in their hands.
A strange kind of noise began to echo across the system, transmitted by these entities to one another. ’@#$####....@$&#...’
Gradually, the unknown language began to change, automatically adapting to the Galactic Standard Language.
"We... We are inside the actual plane! We have finally found another cosmic world across the Chaos Sea! Yes! We are finally here!"
"UGHH... This light!" Another voice hissed in discomfort at the light of the yellow sun. "It is so uncomfortably bright here. It’s suffocating!"
"YEAH! Yet despite that, it is full of vitality. You feel that?" A third entity hummed, licking its lips.
"The spirituality in this realm is not bad compared to the last one. It’s more than one level higher! And the life energy here... Its miraculous abundance is so rich. It is plentiful enough for the sacrifice to the True God!"
These alien monstrous beings conversed with each other, revealing one horrifying thing after another without a care for anything.
