I Became the Rich Second-Generation Villain

Chapter 300: Rookie Player “Little Chick”

Qin Yunhan grew impatient waiting for the eighth player to join, so she spoke decisively into the group voice chat, “Juedi, Yuanyuan, Little Six—you guys go team up with Top Dog Number One. I’ll take the other two with me.”

No one objected. The players quickly split into two groups and, as captains, both Qin Yunhan and Juedi tapped the matchmaking button at the same time.

“Let me burn all my luck this month—please, let us match into the same round!” Qin Yunhan murmured like a prayer, her soft voice drifting through the private channel she shared with Wang Haoran.

“I got in,” Wang Haoran replied as his loading screen shifted.

“Me too!” she gasped with joy. If they were matched at the same time, chances were high that they landed in the same game.

Excitement stirred in her chest, and her eyes instinctively swept over her own team lineup—then paused on the name of one unfamiliar player that had just appeared.

In a cramped, slightly messy rental apartment, Xiao Ye stared at his screen with glee. “No way… all streamers?” he blurted out in disbelief, his eyes glittering.

He couldn’t believe his luck.

His system—Live Stream System—was designed to let him gather popularity through livestreams. With high popularity came “popularity points,” which could be spent on drawing prizes or directly exchanged for skills, items, and other fantastical upgrades. Just moments ago, he had bound the system and received a Newbie Gift Pack. This allowed him to instantly elevate his mastery in any mainstream game to the level of a professional esports player.

Naturally, he picked the game he was most familiar with—PUBG Mobile.

Now that his skills were maxed out, it was time to build an audience. But even for a technical streamer, fame took time. He found that route far too slow.

So he had another idea.

If he could match into games with famous streamers and showcase god-tier mechanics right under their spotlight, he could sponge off their fanbase. Maybe even steal the show.

A few minutes ago, he visited a massive stream with over 100,000 viewers. The streamer was none other than The Eldest Miss Has Arrived, and her team was missing one player.

He queued up in an instant—and sure enough, matched right into her squad.

“‘Little Chick’… oh my god, your ID has me worried already,” Qin Yunhan laughed as she read the new player’s nickname and spoke up in team voice chat.

“Hi there, Miss Streamer!” Xiao Ye replied excitedly, switching on his mic. Just moments ago, he scrolled through her homepage. This “Eldest Miss” was a stunning freshman beauty with killer looks. He could barely sit still in his chair.

“Hey, hey—did you buy that account?” Qin Yunhan asked with suspicion. The last thing she needed was a random player who was somehow even worse than she was.

“Yup, I bought it just a few days ago. Only started playing this game about three days back,” Xiao Ye replied cheerfully, deliberately downplaying his skill. He was going full “pretend-to-be-a-noob” mode to tease the pretty streamer.

“Great, another throwaway match,” Qin Yunhan groaned.

Xiao Ye chuckled quietly to himself. The lower her expectations, the more impressed she’d be once he flexed his skills later. He already watched her gameplay videos—she wasn’t a tech streamer, just comedic fluff. Once she witnessed a true display of top-tier gunplay, she’d be begging him to carry her.

And with her massive following, just one shout-out from her would flood his channel with viewers and grant him enough popularity points to roll for prizes in the system.

Qin Yunhan, of course, had no idea what this new “rookie” was plotting.

She just sighed, gave up on caring, and focused on something else—scanning the player list for Wang Haoran’s in-game avatar.

A few seconds later, she spotted him. They actually matched into the same game.

Her heart leapt and she beamed from ear to ear.

As the plane approached the jump point, she switched to their private voice channel and cooed, “Where are you landing? I’ll follow you.”

“School area. Just don’t shoot me when you see me, okay? I don’t know what I’m doing,” Wang Haoran said calmly.

“Oh, please. Even if we were enemies in-game, I’d never have the heart to shoot you,” she giggled, her voice syrupy sweet.

The plane soared over the school zone, and one after another, figures began parachuting down.

On Wang Haoran’s side, his three streamers followed loyally, sticking close to their “boss.” Qin Yunhan’s two teammates were equally devoted, trailing her every move. And of course, the so-called “Little Chick,” eager to show off for her, also followed.

There were only two teams landing at the school—it was just the eight of them. No third-party squads. A perfect sandbox.

“This area’s safe. Just loot up at your own pace,” Qin Yunhan assured Wang Haoran through their voice chat.

“Got it,” he responded. After landing, he entered the nearest building and began rummaging for supplies—but found nothing useful.

He didn’t want to leave empty-handed, so he casually picked up a frying pan and walked out.

Qin Yunhan landed nearby but ignored the loot. Instead, she ran straight toward his location.

“Hellooo~ find anything good?” she chirped when she spotted his character emerging from the house.

“Just a frying pan. Completely useless.” He made his avatar swing it once in irritation.

“Hey! Frying pans are useful—they can knock people out!” she argued with mock seriousness.

“How many hits would that even take?” he asked doubtfully.

“Uhh… two? Maybe three?” she replied, clearly guessing.

Even without knowing the game well, Wang Haoran could tell she had no clue. He smirked and had his avatar take a step closer, lifting the pan again. “Let me test it on you.”

“No way! You’re not smacking me!” Qin Yunhan laughed, backing away.

“C’mon, just once. Hold still.” He chased after her in-game character, pan raised high.

“Ahhh! Domestic abuse! Help!” she screamed playfully, turning tail and running.

“Stop running! Get back here!” he shouted, chasing her in circles, both of them giggling through the mic as they bantered like a couple in love.

Elsewhere in the school, Xiao Ye had been busy looting. But as he glanced out the window, he caught sight of the two—one player chasing the other with a frying pan. His eyes narrowed.

Miss Streamer’s in danger! Time to shine!

He already found a sniper rifle. Shattering the window, he raised his scope, aimed at the man chasing her, and pulled the trigger.

BANG!

Headshot. Clean. Flawless.

Xiao Ye smirked, holstered his weapon, and trotted over to loot the body. He wasn’t after guns—he wanted that frying pan. For high-level players, it wasn’t just a joke weapon. Worn on the back, it could actually block stray bullets.

“System Notification: Teammate ‘Little Chick’ eliminated ‘Number One Boss’ with a Kar98k!”

Just as Qin Yunhan was laughing her heart out, teasing Wang Haoran through the comms, the bright red kill notification popped up on her screen.

Her expression froze.

The smile on her face vanished, stiff and frozen mid-laugh.
