I Became the Rich Second-Generation Villain

Chapter 235

Chapter 235: Divine Doctor Female Lead

By midday the next day, Wang Haoran arrived at the restaurant near Qingling University as promised.

Just as Liu Yue had said, her Seventh Younger Sister Qiu Qianwei and Sixth Younger Sister Ji Shuiyao were already waiting. Unexpectedly, Lin Chen was there too. He must've heard about the gathering last minute and tagged along uninvited.

When Wang Haoran stepped into the private room, both Qiu Qianwei and Ji Shuiyao looked up at him with soft, affectionate eyes. Liu Yue, meanwhile, was still chatting casually with Lin Chen. As soon as she saw Wang Haoran arrive, she raised a brow

"You really have no sense of time, do you? Look, you're late again."

Wang Haoran pulled out his phone and checked. "How am I late? There's still one minute left."

Lin Chen blinked, glanced at the time, and realized he'd been wrong. But his pride wouldn't let it go, so he grumbled, "Even if you're not late, showing up at the last minute and making everyone wait-aren't you even a little embarrassed?"

Before Wang Haoran could reply, Qiu Qianwei interjected, her tone gently chiding, "Xiao Chen, maybe he had something urgent to deal with. Don't be rude."

Ji Shuiyao echoed, "Be good, don't talk so much."

Liu Yue looked at the two of them with mild surprise. "What's going on with you two? You seem awfully familiar with my student. Why do you both sound like you're siding with him?*

"We know each other. We're friends," Qiu Qianwei said quickly.

"Yes, friends," Ji Shuiyao nodded calmly.

"Ah, I see." Liu Yue nodded in realization, not thinking too much about it.

Lin Chen, sitting off to the side, let out a quiet breath of relief. He had long suspected that Wang Haoran might be the so- called "scumbag" his Seventh Sister had mentioned. But if she said they were just friends--especially in front of family -then it had to be true. After all, there was no reason for her to lie to her own siblings.

What he didn't know was that his Seventh Sister was already so obedient to a certain someone that if he asked her to keep their relationship secret, she wouldn't say a word--not even to family.

"Let's order," Liu Yue said, pressing the service bell.

Soon after, a server entered the room with a menu and naturally handed it to the person nearest-the guest, Wang Haoran.

Lin Chen tried to snatch it. "I'll order."

"Let the guest order," Liu Yue scolded, lightly knocking him on the forehead and taking the menu back. She then handed it to Wang Haoran.

This meal was her treat to thank him, after all. Lin Chen trying to take over the menu was rude, and she couldn't help but correct him.

Rubbing his forehead, Lin Chen turned to his Sixth and Seventh Sisters to complain, "She hit me! You saw that, right?"

Qiu Qlanwel said, "Serves you right for being rude. She should've hit you harder."

Ji Shuiyao added, "Exactly. You deserved it."

Hearing both sisters--who usually pampered him-scold him now, Lin Chen's little face darkened, and he shot Wang Haoran a glare.

Wang Haoran accepted the menu with a smile and selected a few dishes, then passed it to Qiu Qianwei on his right.

She took it with both hands, but as they made the handoff, she used the menu as cover and mischievously traced a small circle into Wang Haoran's palm with her finger.

Wang Haoran shot her a look that clearly said: "Cut it out."

But Qiu Qianwei only smiled sweetly, as if to say: "Nope."

Wang Haoran couldn't help but feel a little helpless.

Usually, she wasn't so bold. But last night, he stood her up-called her at the last minute, saying he had to "play games," when really, Qin Yunhan had pulled him into something else.

You'd rather game than see me? Qiu Qianwel was quite resentful all night. This little stunt was her way of getting

As they waited for the food, Liu Yue glanced at her sisters and Lin Chen. "Third Sister said she's coming to Qingling the day after tomorrow. I've got to monitor the markets in the morning, so can one of you go pick her up?"

"She's coming? That's great!" Lin Chen lit up. "I'll go pick her up! Let me go!"

"It's been so long since we've seen her... I really miss her," Qiu Qianwel sighed. Then she turned to Liu Yue and asked, "Did she say how long she's staying?"

"I only found out when I called her yesterday. Not sure how long she'll stay," Liu Yue replied. "But since she's here, let's keep her around for a bit. If she goes back to the Imperial Capital, who knows when we'll see her again?"

While the conversation buzzed around him, Wang Haoran's ears perked up. He casually asked, "What does your Third Sister do in the capital?"

Ji Shuiyao turned to him. "She's a Divine Doctor. Famous across the Imperial Capital."

Divine Doctor?

Another top-tier female lead.

Wang Haoran immediately thought of someone-Divine Doctor Xue. The same one who had come to Qingling to attend

a wedding by invitation from the War God himself... and who ended up arrested after botching a treatment. Probably still rotting in a cell somewhere.

He couldn't help but wonder-how would this Divine Doctor female lead compare to Divine Doctor Xue?

"That's incredible," he said with genuine-sounding amazement. "What's her name?"

"Her name is Bian Suwen," Qiu Qianwei replied.

Lin Chen narrowed his eyes. "Why are you asking so many questions? Don't tell me you've got designs on my Third Sister too?"

You guessed it. I do

Wang Haoran smiled at Lin Chen and said lightly, "Little buddy, you sure seem to have a lot of opinions about me!"

Of course I do! You keep getting in my way, stealing my spotlight!

But before Lin Chen could fire back, Qiu Qianwei gently cut in. "Be polite, little brother. This big brother's very kind.

Ji Shulyao added, "Yes, be good."

Feeling cornered, Lin Chen turned to his Fifth Sister for support.

But Liu Yue... was staring intently at the ceiling, as though the color of the plaster was the most fascinating thing she'd seen all day.

Her thoughts were simple-on one side was her younger brother, on the other was her boyfriend's disciple. Offending either side would be awkward. So she simply pretended not to notice anything.

Seeing that even Liu Yue wouldn't defend him, Lin Chen wilted on the spot.

None of you care about me anymore, huh? Fine. Just wait till Third Sister gets here. She'll back me up!

"Leave. We're not hiring you."

In a cramped interview room, a middle-aged man coldly dismissed Su Chen.

Su Chen's face turned ashen.

He'd already applied at three different delivery companies that morning, and every one of them had turned him

away.

He wasn't new to the job. He'd been delivering packages for over a year and knew the routes well. If just one company had rejected him, he might've brushed it off-but all three?

Confused and frustrated, Su Chen asked, "I meet all the requirements. Why won't your company hire me?"

The man sighed impatiently but answered anyway to avoid being pestered. "It's not just us. The whole delivery industry

has blacklisted you.

"What... what?" Su Chen swayed on his feet, his face pale with disbelief.
