I Became the Rich Second-Generation Villain

Chapter 220: Who’s Your Boyfriend?

Class had barely ended when students began trickling out of the lecture hall.

But Mu Zhaozhao didn’t leave—she practically sprinted over to Wang Haoran, grabbed his hand with zero hesitation, and started dragging him outside. “Supper, supper! I want midnight snacks!”

Wang Haoran chuckled. “Relax, I promised you, didn’t I?” Since he’d agreed earlier, of course he intended to follow through. He just wasn’t sure where to go, so he turned to ask her, “I only got here yesterday, still not familiar with the area. You pick the place.”

Mu Zhaozhao’s eyes lit up. “Last night, Sister Yunhan and I went to a night market just outside campus. There’s this one place—so good. Come on, I’ll take you.”

Wang Haoran nodded, and just as he turned, he noticed Wen Jing standing off to the side, watching them timidly from a distance.

“Wen Jing,” he called out casually, “wanna come grab some food with us?”

Startled, she walked over quickly, voice soft. “Would that be alright?”

“What’s not alright about it?” Wang Haoran grinned. “Let’s go.”

Mu Zhaozhao pouted a little, lips forming a dissatisfied line, but still chimed in politely, “Yeah, come with us, Wen Jing.”

Wen Jing nodded, visibly happy. And so the three of them headed off campus together.

Before long, they reached the shop Mu Zhaozhao had mentioned. It wasn’t very big, but the tables were clean, the surfaces wiped spotless. The owner, his wife, and their daughter were all working inside, wearing masks and gloves. Everything looked neat, hygienic.

Business was booming. The little family of three was clearly struggling to keep up with the orders.

Wang Haoran, Mu Zhaozhao, and Wen Jing found a spot at one of the tables. A menu sat between them, along with a stack of sticky notes and a pen—self-serve ordering, evidently, since the staff were too busy to take orders the usual way.

Wang Haoran picked up the pen and notepad and handed it over. “You two pick what you want.”

Mu Zhaozhao wasted no time. In a flurry of motion, she listed out over twenty different skewers, ordering at least five of each. For one item—chives—she marked down ten full servings.

Wang Haoran glanced over, a brow raising. “Why’d you get ten plates of chives?”

A sly little smile curved her lips. “Those are for you.”

He blinked. Chives were widely known for their, well, virility-boosting effects. What was that supposed to mean?

Before he could respond, Wen Jing—her voice small but firm—suddenly interjected, “He’s really healthy. Doesn’t need supplements.”

Mu Zhaozhao turned her head with a strange look. “Hmm?”

Wen Jing flushed a deep shade of red, hastening to explain, “We’re in the same class. Had P.E. together. He’s really athletic. Great stamina, strong body… naturally.”

Mu Zhaozhao gave a soft “Oh,” but there was something in her gaze as she looked at Wen Jing—amusement, curiosity, maybe even a hint of calculation.

Wang Haoran caught that look and felt a jolt of unease. She’d picked up on something. If she decided to stir the pot, things could spiral.

He leaned in with a relaxed smile. “If you want anything else, just say the word. Order as much as you want.”

Mu Zhaozhao beamed. “This should be enough for now. If not, we’ll get more later.”

Wang Haoran waved the owner over and passed along their note.

Not long after, the first wave of grilled skewers arrived at their table.

Wen Jing still looked a little flustered, quietly chewing her food without much appetite.

Mu Zhaozhao, by contrast, was as carefree as ever—already rolling up her sleeves and chomping into a squid skewer with gusto, oil glistening around her lips.

Mid-bite, she leaned forward, baby-doll face mischievous. “Hey, lend me a hand.”

Wang Haoran grabbed a napkin from the box and gently wiped the oil off her lips.

【Ding. You’ve stirred Female Lead Mu Zhaozhao’s heart. Gained 200 Villain Points!】

He paused, blinking, and glanced at her face.

No change. She kept right on eating, eyes bright, smile unbothered.

But the system prompt wouldn’t lie. The reward was already credited.

Moments later, Mu Zhaozhao had sauce all over her lips again. She looked at Wang Haoran expectantly.

He immediately understood, plucked another napkin, and wiped her mouth again—this time, brushing her cheek with his fingers, pretending it was accidental.

【Ding. You’ve stirred Female Lead Mu Zhaozhao’s heart. Gained 300 Villain Points!】

She still showed no reaction. If anything, she was playing her cards too well.

Wang Haoran’s eyes sparkled. The temptation to test the limits rose.

He casually reached under the table, his fingers slipping into motion.

“Ah!” Mu Zhaozhao let out a tiny gasp, hand jerking so hard her squid skewer tumbled to the floor.

“What’s wrong?” Wen Jing asked, blinking.

“Nothing, nothing,” Mu Zhaozhao laughed it off breezily, then met Wang Haoran’s gaze. Their eyes locked—just for a moment—before she shyly looked away and went back to eating.

【Ding. You’ve stirred Female Lead Mu Zhaozhao’s heart. Gained 400 Villain Points!】

This girl was ridiculously easy to farm for Villain Points.

Wang Haoran was amazed.

Meanwhile, Liu Yue had returned home after class to a villa near campus.

She’d been teaching at Qingling University for two or three years now and bought the villa for comfort and convenience.

But recently, she wasn’t the only resident. Two other women had moved in.

Qiu Qianwei and Ji Shuiyao—her sisters, in all but blood.

Each of them worked in different fields, and in the past, they hadn’t had many chances to live together. But now that fate had brought them all to the same university, Liu Yue had naturally invited them to live with her.

She unlocked the front door with her fingerprint and stepped inside.

Sixth Sister Ji Shuiyao was reading in the living room. From the kitchen, the sound of stir-frying drifted out.

Liu Yue glanced toward the kitchen, puzzled. “That fast? You already hired a cook?”

Ji Shuiyao looked up from her book. “Seventh Sister’s in there.”

Liu Yue froze. “She’s what? Has she lost her mind? Her hands are for the piano, not the frying pan! What if she hurts herself?!”

She was already about to rush into the kitchen.

“I tried talking her out of it,” Ji Shuiyao said, sighing. “Wore out my tongue. Didn’t work.”

Liu Yue stopped in her tracks, baffled. “What’s gotten into her?”

Ji Shuiyao knew exactly what, but kept her thoughts to herself. “You’ll have to ask her.”

A few minutes later, Qiu Qianwei finally emerged from the kitchen, flushed with excitement. “Fifth Sister, Sixth Sister! It’s late, you must be starving. Come taste what I made!”

Liu Yue and Ji Shuiyao exchanged a look. Reluctantly, they followed her to the dining room.

Qianwei brought over three plates of fried noodles. Visually, they looked decent.

They each tried a bite.

And both immediately scrunched their faces in unison.

Qiu Qianwei looked anxious. “That bad?”

“It’s… fine.”

“Mm. Not bad.”

They both answered as diplomatically as possible.

Qianwei picked up her own chopsticks, took a bite, then spat it out with a wince. “Oops. Too much salt. I’ll fix it next time!”

Liu Yue looked at her seriously. “Seventh Sister, stop this nonsense before you regret it. If you hurt your hands, it won’t be worth it.”

Qianwei laughed, waving it off. “My hands are insured for over a hundred million. If something happens, I’ll get a payout in the billions. I won’t starve.”

Liu Yue stared at her in disbelief. “We’ve only been apart three months. When did you become a completely different person?”

Qiu Qianwei paused, then smiled shyly. “I just want to learn to cook… so I can make food for him. For you too, of course.”

Liu Yue narrowed her eyes. Something was off. And she suddenly remembered that viral award acceptance clip from earlier.

“Seventh Sister… are you really dating someone?”

Qiu Qianwei blushed, then nodded. “Y-yeah.”

Liu Yue sat frozen, stunned speechless. Then suddenly leaned forward, eyes wide.

“Who is it?!”
