I Became the Rich Second-Generation Villain

Chapter 215: Finance Department’s Professor Liu Yue

Chapter 215: Finance Department’s Professor Liu Yue

With the pre-semester formalities out of the way, Wang Haoran’s first official Finance Department class finally arrived—and this wasn’t just any lecture. The instructor was none other than the campus-famous goddess-tier professor: Liu Yue.

What caught everyone off guard, though, was the unusual class time. It was scheduled for 9 p.m., long after other departments had wrapped up for the day, and the venue was the university’s computer lab.

Despite the late hour, the entire class showed up on time—everyone had heard of Liu Yue, after all. Just her name alone was enough to make students curious and eager.

But the lab was a mess. Some students were chatting, others were playfully roughhousing, and the atmosphere was more like a party than a lecture.

Then came the rhythmic click-clack of high heels echoing down the corridor—measured, deliberate, and carrying a natural sense of authority. The noise in the lab faltered.

Moments later, Liu Yue entered, every bit as ethereal as her reputation suggested. Her presence silenced most of the room, though she didn’t immediately say anything about the chaos. She simply glanced at her wristwatch with an unreadable expression.

Lin Chen, already bright-eyed and cheerful, eagerly bounded up to her. “Fifth Sister!”

Liu Yue’s cool, elegant face softened into a faint smile—but only for a second. She quickly masked it and replied in a firm tone, “I’m your professor now. Go sit down and behave.”

“Yes, Professor Liu,” Lin Chen replied obediently, scurrying back to his seat like a well-trained little angel. At the lectern, Liu Yue took her seat and lowered her eyes to her watch again. Below, Wang Haoran had been watching her every move. The exchange between her and Lin Chen hadn’t escaped his notice.

Liu Yue wasn’t just a stunning beauty—her features were refined, her figure flawless, and her aura unmistakably that of a goddess. She was, without a doubt, one of the elite female leads.

Add to that the fact that she had become a finance professor in her early twenties and amassed a fortune of over ten billion… She wasn’t just a genius—she was a living legend in the world of finance.

Her entrance managed to hush the lab somewhat. Some of the students returned to their seats, but a few rowdy ones still hadn’t settled down.

Finally, Liu Yue lifted her eyes from her watch and spoke in a gentle yet clear voice, “Class is starting. Are you all done fooling around?”

Her tone wasn’t harsh, but it carried a subtle chill. The remaining rowdy students reluctantly returned to their seats.

“Qingling University is one of the nation’s top institutions,” she continued, “and the Finance Department ranks in the top three nationwide. The fact that you were admitted here means you’re already among the best.”

A wave of applause swept through the room—partly out of pride, and partly because it felt like she was praising them. Wang Haoran clapped along casually, but his eyes flicked to Lin Chen, who sat with arms crossed, a sly grin playing on his lips.

That smile immediately triggered Wang Haoran’s instincts. Something wasn’t right. He couldn’t quite put his finger on it, but he turned his attention back to Liu Yue just as she shifted gears.

“But,” she said, her voice suddenly sharpening, “in some ways, you’re all trash.”

The room fell silent.

“At your age, I already earned my PhD in Finance and made my first billion. And yet here you are, barely grasping the basics. One of your classmates—Lin Chen—is only eight years old and he’s sitting in the same classroom as you. Aren’t you ashamed?”

Not a word was spoken. Everyone sat frozen.

Liu Yue let the silence linger before speaking again, “Ah, I see. You still know how to be embarrassed. That means you’re not completely hopeless.”

She rose from her chair, eyes sweeping over the class. “Unlike other departments, Finance is high-risk, high-reward. You could rise to become a titan of industry—or lose everything in a single misstep. That’s why I demand absolute seriousness from you, starting now.”

She paused, then added coolly, “From this point forward, when class is about to begin, I expect to see every one of you seated, focused, and silent. This mess of a lab is not a marketplace. I’ll let it slide this time since it’s your first offense. Next time? I’ll deduct your entire attendance credit.”

The classroom remained eerily quiet. Everyone held their breath.

Liu Yue narrowed her eyes. “Did I not speak clearly? Or are your ears too old and failing you?”

“Yes, Professor Liu!” Lin Chen immediately called out, breaking the silence.

The rest of the students scrambled to echo him.

“Good. Let’s begin,” Liu Yue said, her voice returning to calm. “Open the computers in front of you and register an account on the securities trading software.”

No one dared speak. Everyone quietly followed instructions.

A few moments later, Liu Yue tapped a few commands into the instructor’s main terminal. Within seconds, every student account received 5,000 M-Coins.

The class was stunned.

Liu Yue pulled out a thick roll of documents and glanced around. “Who’s the class monitor?”

Wang Haoran stood up. “Here, Professor Liu.”

She looked at him—and paused.

For a brief moment, her usually composed expression slipped. Her eyes lingered on him with a hint of dazed fascination. His Charm Halo had clearly kicked in.

But only for a second.

She quickly composed herself and handed him the documents. “Distribute one copy per student.”

Wang Haoran nodded, taking the hefty stack and moving through the rows, passing them out one by one.

“This is your first lesson in practical stock trading,” Liu Yue explained. “Each of you now has 5,000 M-Coins in your account. The information I’ve given you is handpicked and refined—data from my personal portfolio. Based on this, choose your stocks. You have one hour. If you earn more than 6% profit, you pass. If your gains are between 1% and 6%, you’ll stand during my next class.”

“What if we lose money?” someone asked nervously.

Liu Yue’s lips curled into a smile, but it wasn’t a reassuring one. “If you still lose money after being spoon-fed this level of intel… I suggest switching majors. Actually, scratch that. If you’re that dense, no department will suit you.”

Dead silence. The students looked at one another, visibly rattled.

This woman is brutal, Wang Haoran thought. Sharp tongue, zero filter.

After letting the fear sink in, Liu Yue softened—slightly. “Don’t worry. Profits are yours to keep. If you lose money, I’ll bear it.”

A wave of relief washed over the class. Still, they quickly buried their heads in the materials, eager to avoid humiliation.

Well… most of them.

There were two exceptions.

Lin Chen sat back with his arms behind his head, completely unconcerned. He didn’t even glance at the handouts. Thanks to the time zone difference, the M-Market wouldn’t open until 9:30 p.m.—still 20 minutes to go. He didn’t need prep. His Prodigy System would take care of everything.

Wang Haoran, meanwhile, also didn’t bother reading. Instead, he tapped into his System Store, shopping casually in his mind.

Whatever came next, he was already ten steps ahead.
