Chapter 471: Tribulation (5)
There was still so much to learn, even from these small corners of the world. Assuming himself to be infallible—that his intelligence could make up for years—no, generations—of innovation, thought, and progress, was simply far too arrogant.
The library had given him a foundation that was likely stronger than anyone here, but what it hadn’t given him was any sort of true insight into the path of cultivation.
What it had done, though... was allow him an intimate understanding of what he was seeing, when he was seeing it.
The physical laws... the science... the intricate, woven little details that everyone else seemed to forget about the world when they were distracted by fancy flashing Mana and bright surging lights...
That was what Theron knew and understood like the back of his hand.
Where the seven moons were, why the sun rose from where it did, how Mana decided what regions it would populate with specific paths, and which ones would be entirely abandoned.
He could scrutinize every little detail of the world, grasp it in the palm of his hands, and benefit from it.
So... now, when he saw a Path of cultivation he didn’t understand in this world, it was no longer a matter of just standing there and taking it.
If you gave him enough time... if you stalled because you needed him to pass a Tribulation that you yourself couldn’t pass...
Then he would be able to grasp an understanding of it too.
