The realization hit her in waves, and suddenly the words that Gian had spoken before nailed through her heart.

She suddenly tried to move, hoping that in his youth and arrogance, Theron might accidentally give her an opportunity. But she found her cheekbone shattered with a stomp, and the chain tightening around her neck.
She gasped for breath, trying to inhale, but her airways were over 50% constricted. If she kept writhing, she would end up choking herself out before she was even close to escaping.
Never in her life had she been humiliated like this, and because it was her cheek being stomped down on, she couldn’t even glare at her attacker. All she could see was the charred leg that stood by her—almost as though to remind her of the horrible state her opponent was in.
Then came the sound of clapping.
"Indeed, the True Chosen. So handicapped, completely drained of your Mana, and yet still able to defeat the number two of your generation. Truly a dominant, monstrous talent. It’s almost too easy to forget that you’re just 14 years old."
Karra trembled again when she heard this.
She seemed young, but that was only because she had broken into the Gold Mancy Realm so early on. She looked 16 or 17 years old at most, but she was already over 25.
While this technically did put her in the same generation as Theron, under normal circumstances no one would say such a thing so boldly and without a hint of irony.
She had known that Theron was young, but like Gian said, his body was drained of all Mana, so reading his cultivation was near impossible. Worse than that, his face and body were in rough shape, making it difficult to make out his age.
