Chapter 459: Why
Theron’s gaze flashed. His body was splayed out, his wrists and ankles chained as though he were some sort of animal.
Deep below, howling winds reverberated across the dark walls of the mountain range, but the heat of it was oddly high, almost as though he were hanging over a volcano instead of being trapped at such high altitudes.
However, a quick glance around told Theron that there also wasn’t any snow capping these mountains, which was also odd.
Theron had never actually been this high up on a mountain before, but his knowledge was deep and extensive. He didn’t have to have been in a place before to know he was somewhere odd.
He was about to consider his situation more when his heart skipped a beat.
’Why did they leave it?’
This was the second time now that his captors hadn’t taken his weapons away. The first time, he didn’t think much of it, but a second time...
He had been vaguely aware that it was the old assassin who took action this time too, and there was simply no way he would make this sort of mistake.
’They’re leaving my weapons with me for a reason? Why would they do that?’
Theron looked up into the skies. They were misted over with the night’s dew, sparse clouds passing by fleetingly as the blue moon shone through them.
