Chapter 457: Mobilize
The Black Clan’s hall fell into silence for a short while. At that moment, the Patriarch realized that his daughter was very much correct. There was something about this that wasn’t right.
They didn’t exactly have an alliance with the Tyres, but they didn’t have any animosity with them either. For there to be a sudden attack without warning and without reason made no sense.
"Where are the reports of what could have caused this? We have countless members of the Clan in the Tyre Imperial City, both as spies and for leisure. Not a single one of them could bring back information?"
The Patriarch already knew the answer before his daughter replied. Clearly, neither of them needed to check, because she answered without consulting anyone.
"Spies are open secrets, Father... if they really wanted to attack without cause or reason, they would deal with them first. Or... if they were especially angry, thinking that we wronged them in some way, they would certainly execute the spies first to set an example."
In the end, it seemed that everything was converging on Black Clan territory, and none of them understood why or what was happening.
For the Tyre Clan to set out with an army toward their territory, it could only be said that whatever had set them off couldn’t have been small at all.
It had to be known that the Clan would be at a huge advantage because they were in the defending position. The Tyre Clan was taking a huge risk by coming here, even if the Black Clan only had a short while to build up their defenses.
