If they parted ways unsatisfactorily, culminating in divorce, all three would end up as adversaries rather than collaborators.

At that moment, with loyalties unclear, it was not the right time for Rooney to speak. Simon, with intimate knowledge of both parties, said softly, "They won't get divorced."
