A Cadillac parked on Beverly Boulevard as Edward hurriedly got out and rushed into the villa, finding Hawke and Caroline discussing something in hushed tones, waiting a moment.

Once Hawke wrapped up his conversation with Caroline, he noticed the sweat on Edward's forehead and asked, "What's wrong?"

"I've been approached!" Edward exclaimed before correcting himself, "Someone attempted to bribe me."

He pointed toward Caroline: "Miss Baa's assistant wants to offer me $30,000."

"Tell her to raise it to $50,000," Hawke replied matter-of-factly.

Caroline agreed: "Since Sarah is coming in, the chances of getting that money are pretty high."

Hawke asked, "Is she waiting for your response?"

Edward responded, "She called me about ten minutes ago. I told her I'd think about it."
