Chapter 134: Stand Off
A few minutes prior, Bella could be seen strolling through the streets of the city. She had grown bored staying in the City Lord’s mansion; therefore, she decided to have a better view of the city.
There was no tangible result from the task she had given to the City Lord. However, since it had only been a few days, she patiently decided to give them more time.
However, this meant that she was once again without something to do. As the Young Miss of the House of Vyre, she constantly had major responsibilities that she dealt with daily basis.
Her days were always busy, especially since her grandfather basically pawned all his responsibilities on her. Being without something to do made her feel uncomfortable.
That was when Elder Glenda gave her the bright idea of exploring the city.
Thinking about it, it made sense. She was the Young Mistress of the House of Vyre, though she didn’t show it. Stonehold City was one of their part of their territory and one of the most important cities in it at that.
The fact that she only knew the bare minimum about the city was something that wasn’t ideal. She wanted to rectify this mistake and cure her boredom as well.
However, since she was only strolling through the city, she didn’t want to bother Elder Glenda and decided to move around with just some guards instead.
However, these weren’t the same guards that entered the Misty Mountains with her. Those guards were only at the Golden Core realm, much too weak to provide any reasonable safety.
If someone who was truly a danger to Bella’s life were to actually attack, they would be unable to provide any reasonable protection. Heck, even the person they were trying to protect could squash them easily.
The only thing they would likely be able to do was to buy time for Bella to run away. Of course, this would have to be done with their lives, something that they might not be willing to do.
The guards this time were at the Nascent Soul realm. Their auras were powerful, and their strengths immense. They were also very disciplined and had a strange energy around them that made people wary of approaching them.
