Chapter 44: THE WORLD BALANCE
"Humans have very little Karma and also very little brain capacity, that is why they can't control it. But human emotions are also powerful" Tomura stared at Kakashi for a moment. "Hatred, anger, sadness, depression; all these are human emotions that easily manifest into this world as demons and hunt them. Normally, this wouldn't have been able to happen if there were no supernaturals in this world"
"What are you trying to say?"
"I'm saying no matter matter how many you kill, they will always come back. That's the balance of the world. Humans are nothing but worthless maggots who will do anything for their selfish desires!" Tomura yelled. "And supernaturals are the ones who get to pay for their stupidity. Sacrificing lives of innocent children to protect those who are unworthy of it, everything the ASE academy stands for just disgusts me!!!"
Kakashi straighten up.
"That's just how it was supposed to be: the strong are meant to protect the weak. You just don't understand?"
"What's there to understand, huh? You think money is going to cut it, I had a family, I had someone who always waited for me but because of the academy, I lost that person" Tomura said.
"I get it. You must have suffered a lot to be like this, but killing is a crime and for that, I'll have to dispatch you"
Kakashi darted towards Tomura, heightened his fist ignited with dark flame-like aura - the visible form of Karma.
"I got it!" Tomura suddenly yelled, making Kakashi stop in his tracks. Huge wave of air blew across the lot. "I got it. If I could change the balance"
"Change the balance? How is that even possible?" Kakashi asked after jumping three meters backward just to be safe.
"There is a way to stop demons"
