Feeling Linda clinging tighter, Brian quickly hoisted her into the air and tossed her back onto the bed.

"You should be grateful that child marriage isn’t a thing where you live," Brian teased, "or with you being so mature for your age, you might already be a mother of several kids by now."

Linda shook her head, denying Brian’s suggestion:

"No, I wouldn’t be that naive.

I just like your looks and that visible sense of security you have, plus, in Florida, there’s something called ’T marriage.’ I knew a girl once, she was just in her teens, and she married an old man."

"Teens?"

Brian was taken aback.

"Yes."

Linda nodded as she jumped off the bed,

"She told me that the man raped her. He was a deacon in the parish, and there are many believers where I come from. Her entire family are believers.
