Chapter 100: Everyone would wish I had died, three years ago.
Selene POV
An idea was forming in my mind as he requested I cut ties with Xavier, not entirely but to a greater extent which I was going to do without him asking but then, this was the perfect opportunity to get him to do what I wanted.
Since the Grand Lycan had refused to officially recognize the office of the Luna as an executive arm, I would bring it up before Noah, seeing he was in an emotionally vulnerable state, and was desperately clinging to me, I could take advantage of that.
Normally, he would reject me outrightly if I asked on a normal day but if I played my card well, right now, he might just give in not totally but he would promise to do something. The aim was to keep him busy with running the affairs of the pack while trying to keep his promise to me, that way, it would keep his eyes off me and allow me to proceed with my plans.
"Recognize?" his eyes darted in confusion "I don’t understand,".
I took a steadying deep breath before answering "I said, I want you to officially recognize the Office of the Luna as an Executive Arm within the Pack. I would have duties just like you and lead a small group of soldiers, maids, run the pack house and a whole bunch of stuff... doing exactly what you’re doing but on a smaller scale and mostly to help you," I added smiling at him.
There, I said it... Grand Lycan Leonard had told me to my face that I was dreaming but I would use Noah... If I can get his family divided and in so many places, it’ll advance my plan. A house divided against itself cannot stand, after all.
His face became pale instantly as he stared at me. "Are you joking?"
"I don’t joke about things like this, Noah," I brushed past him into the bedroom and then gently slipped the silk robe off my body as I made a big production of putting on my clothes. It wasn’t much but, when a man is sex-starved, he thinks mostly with his desires and not his head. I would tease him with my body – and dangle myself in front of him so he would know what he’d be missing out if our conversation today didn’t go as planned.
