Chapter 50: Take your hands off me!!!
Selene POV
There was something about Jared that commanded respect.
I could see it in the eyes of the Alphas who parted for him to get to Xavier. I could also see the warm glint in Xavier’s eyes as he stretched forth his hands towards him. I didn’t know if it was the scar on his face or the powerful aura that hung over all over him like a scent.
He hurried towards Xavier and the duo clasped each other in a manly hug.
"Alpha, I can’t believe this is you. How long has it been? One, two years?"
"Three," Xavier chuckled slapping him heartily on his back "I thought you weren’t going to come. How are you doing? How is the pack?"
"I’m very well, Alpha," Jared said "However, I am not the main event here. You should tell us how you’re fairing and we’re grateful to the moon goddess for keeping you until now. Everyone thought you were dead and your Beta was hiding it,".
His eyes traced to where Beta Lucius was sitting beside Xavier. His brows were knitted in concentration as he continued to scroll through his phone, ignoring Jared.
"The King is also here," Xavier nudged him towards where Noah was sitting wearing a calm and almost impenetrable look on his face.
"Oh, my moon!" Jared exclaimed and immediately shot to his feet then rushed to Noah and bowed to his waist before him.
It was difficult to think this was the man who had spoken about me and Xavier cruelly and had also hit Belinda this morning. There were no traces of harshness in him and the scar if not for anything made him look kind and maybe vulnerable.
