Chapter 923: Night Of Chaos (1)
To Alan's surprise, Yopuni was neither angry nor embarrassed. He smiled bitterly as if he had predicted the answer, but he still said gracefully, "Then please let me have a request from Lord Alan."
"Other than letting you go, I can promise you anything else." Alan nodded.
"All I want is a chance to kill myself." Yopuni flipped his hand and a dagger appeared in his palm. He looked at Remington and said, "I don't want to die in the hands of a mad dog."
Remington laughed sinisterly.
Ellen nodded, "I'll watch. Help yourself."
"Thank you very much." Yopuni bowed and took a deep breath. The dagger turned back, and the tip of the knife aimed at his chest with a bright smile. He suddenly exerted his strength and pressed down the dagger, causing blood to ooze out of his chest. He gritted his teeth and pushed again. The dagger had no hilt, and Yopuni's entire body trembled. He didn't know if he was smiling or angry. "I'll wait for you in hell," he glared at Remington.
He pulled out his dagger again and blood gushed out like a spring. He laughed and fell to the ground without a sound, falling into a pool of blood.
Remington's chest rose and fell, and tonight's changes were so great that even though he was mentally prepared, he still felt chaotic. Alan walked over and flipped Yopuni over. Blood was still gushing out from his chest, and Yopuni's face was already pale and turning green, not breathing. Ellen smiled and whispered in his ear, "I'm a cautious person. I don't know if you're really dead or fake. Anyway, it's always good to be in case of an accident."
He raised the knife in his hand and landed.
Remington saw the dagger in Alan's hand piercing into Yopuni's chest. His brother's fingers twitched and he didn't move again. Alan put away his dagger. No matter what, Yopuni would die. Snatching a trace of blood essence from the devil's praise was the best evidence. Origin Tools didn't lie, and Alan didn't care what Yopuni was calculating. Anyway, with this saber strike, everything in this world had nothing to do with him anymore.
Looking at Yopuni, Remington's apple slid up and down and said to Alan, "Parson ran away. I didn't let him go. Someone saved him."
"Oh, does Earl Rackett still have a corpse with him?"
"I'm not sure about that, but it doesn't matter. I will do my best to search for this fellow."
Ellen shook his head. "There's no hurry. Young Master Parson has a passion for that singer named Ollie. Even if he wants to leave the city, he will most likely go find Ollie. You can use this singer to hook Young Master Parson out. But before that, there's another thing that you need to do personally. If you do it well, you'll be able to clean up your previous image and pave the way for taking over Mountain City."
"Everything is up to you, my lord." Remington laughed sinisterly.
"Follow me."
The explosion and collapse of Coiling Snake Mountain Road woke up the residents of the nearby mountain city. The lights that had been extinguished lit up one by one in the middle of the night. Some residents dared to run out of their homes to see what was going on, but apart from seeing the darkness of the mountain path, they could not see anything. On the contrary, a few of the Mountain City guards who had been driven home were so slow that they even suffered a few kicks. Normally, the strict Hillo would definitely teach those kicking soldiers a lesson, but now he was in no mood at all.
When Hillo, who was originally in the barracks, received news of the attack on Mount Coiling Snake Road, he immediately brought a group of soldiers over. When he stood at the entrance of Coiling Snake Mountain Road, his brows furrowed when he saw the explosion of the sentry post and the two charcoal-like bolts left. When he rode his horse up and saw the ravine that Alan had blasted out with a bolt of lightning, Hillo sucked in a breath of cold air.
Not long after, soldiers reported the discovery of Earl Rackett's corpse, and the captain's mood fell to the bottom. Just as he was about to bypass the ravine and head towards the City Lord's Mansion, a figure appeared on the mountain path. As the figure approached, Hillo could clearly see that it was Remington.
What made him feel strange was that Remington was actually dressed in armor and had a solemn expression on his face.
"Young Master Remington, what's going on?" Hillo asked with a frown.
Remington shouted, "It was the outsiders from Shadow Duchy who attacked the City Lord's Mansion. They also killed my father and big brother. Even Parson was taken away." Commander Hillo, you are stationed in the barracks. Don't you know what's hidden in that independent barracks for the past six months? "That place is full of dirt. No matter who recruited it, I will clean that place today instead of my father and brother!"
"Mountain City is the Imperial Mountain City. I swear on behalf of the future Mountain City Master that I will not allow any traces of outsider activity in Mountain City!" Remington changed his usual image as a playboy and shouted with a righteous expression, "Who's coming with me?"
He pointed his sword at the distant barracks.
The soldiers looked at each other, and Hillo knew that the independent camp was set up for the outsider soldiers that Earl Rackett had recruited. Hillo had offended the count for the sake of the camp and had been left almost idle for half a year. The soldiers in the barracks also vaguely knew some inside information, but no one dared to talk about it because of the suppression of the first level of the password restriction.
Now that the count's own son had shouted it out, Hillo felt incomparably ironic. Moreover, from Remington's tone, it was clear that he was going to take over Mountain City. It wasn't surprising to think about it. After all, if the Earl and Yopuni were dead, and Parson was missing, the only one who had the right to inherit Mountain City was indeed Remington. However, the inside story was so simple?
Hillo did not want to think any further. Just because he disdained those conspiracy methods did not mean that he did not know the powerful relationship inside. Especially when it came to the transfer of power, he was not a member of the Remington Clan. It was better not to interfere in such matters.
Remington looked at him.
'"Didn't you hear what Young Master said? Prepare a horse for Young Master!" Hillo shouted to the soldiers behind him.
Remington nodded in satisfaction.
All of this was clearly seen by Alan in the Lord's Mansion. Everything was proceeding according to the plan.
Parson was thrown to the hard, cold ground, and he hurriedly removed the sheets covering his body. After a while, his gaze adapted to the current environment, and he could clearly see that this was a small room that was mistaken for darkness. The wall was made of wood, and a single bed and tables and chairs were the only furnishings in the room. Then, he saw a figure. The man who brought him out of the Lord's Mansion was standing right in front of him, but the part above his chest was hidden in the shadow of the room.
Parson couldn't help but ask, "Who are you?"
"It doesn't matter who I am. What's important is that I won't hurt you. You just need to know that." The man said in an indifferent tone.
Only then did Parson recall the ferocious look of Remington wanting to kill him in his bedroom. "Remington wants to kill me," he said in a trembling voice. "No, I can't stay in Mountain City anymore. I have to get out of here."
He's gonna get up.
Suddenly, a short blade without a handle appeared between his fingers on the palm that was propped up on the ground. The short blade could be nailed to his palm a little further forward. Parson trembled and sniffed the man in front of him, "If you go out now, I guarantee Remington will arrest you immediately. Then you will die in a secret corner and the corpse will become fertilizer for some plants."
Parson's face turned pale.
The man continued, "Remington has probably already launched a large-scale search for you in the city, so this is the only safe place for now. If you don't want to die, just stay here. I don't want to waste my time trying to save you and get rid of Remington. If that's the case, I might as well just kill you here."
"I'm not leaving, I'm not leaving." Parson thought for a moment and begged, "Can you bring Ollie over too? Remington will definitely do something to her."
"You know Remington is going to take action against your beloved singer, so you should know that if I bring Ollie here, Remington will be able to touch this place. Young Master Parson, the world outside has turned upside down. Please don't think about a singer at this time. If you still want to live, if you want to snatch back what belongs to you, then listen to my advice. "
"Robbing? How?" '"Remington will kill me if he finds out. Besides, my father is dead now. If something happens to Yopuni, Remington will definitely take over Mountain City. Oh, that's why he wants to kill me, isn't it? So he was the one who found the killer who attacked the City Lord's Mansion tonight?" Parson smiled bitterly.
"Looks like you're not too stupid. That's right, that's probably the case." "Now, let me ask you, do you want to return to the City Lord's Mansion as the City Lord of Mountain City?"
A complicated expression surged in Parson's eyes, and the man didn't urge him, allowing him to think carefully. Parson didn't hesitate for too long. A moment later, he gritted his teeth and said, "Of course, Remington wants to kill me, then I will kill him. As long as I have that power!"
"As long as you have such thoughts, I will give you that power."
"Who the hell are you? What do you need to help me with?" Parson asked, puzzled.
"I can't tell you my identity, this is for your own good. What I can tell you is that this was ordered by Earl Rackett. Of the three sons, the one he is most worried about is you. Originally, it was just a precautionary arrangement, but I didn't expect it to be used tonight. Let's do this first. Rest well and someone will come into contact with you. "Young Master Parson, you don't know what kind of power the count has left for you," said the man, leaving the room.
Belmord closed the door and walked into the bright hall through a long corridor. Inside the hall, Sbraden was already waiting by the side. Belmord nodded to him and said, "Young Master Parson, I'll leave it to you. Follow the plan."
"I know what to do," Sbraden smiled.
"Well, then I'll leave this place to you. I still have to make a trip. I'm really busy tonight." Belmord shook his head and turned to leave.
