Chapter 377: Birthday Gifts
When Mel arrived at the dining room, she saw all her family and friends sitting at the dining table chatting with each other. They are also enjoying their breakfast, making that morning more lively. She felt touched to see this lovely atmosphere and was happy to start her morning in a joyful mood.
"Good morning all...." Mel greeted them while sitting beside her grandmother. They all looked at her and greeted her back.
"Wow! Boss, looks so beautiful..." said Harry.
"Oh my God, Harry, our Boss hasn’t used any makeup at all. And did you forget? This is her daily appearance...Stop flattering her too much." Anna said as she rolled her eyes.
Harry’s jaw nearly dropped at Anna’s words. While jokingly glaring at Anna, he scolds her with his comical sharp gaze and says, "Can you shut up, you meddling young lady? I’m trying to get a raise here."
Everyone is laughing except for Anna. She ignores his joke at the beginning. But then, in seconds, she follows others and laughs at Harry because nothing is funnier than someone mocking himself.
When all her friends were busy chatting, Mel hugged her grandmother. She is so happy because her grandmother has come and eaten breakfast with everyone.
"Girl, how are you this morning?"
"I’m both happy and sad at the same time."
