Chapter 329: Invite The Elders
Next Morning.
Mel slowly opened her eyes and was immediately startled when she saw the familiar chandelier above the ceiling. Why is she suddenly in her bedroom? Shouldn’t she be Shadow basecamp?
Mel turned her head to look around her but she felt her body stiff as soon as she moved. She slightly groaned while trying to wake up.
"Wife, are you awake?" Mel is stunned when she hears Andrew’s voice. She sees him walking fast to help her sit up. "Are you feeling better?" He asks.
"H-Husband, since when did you arrive?" She was so happy to see him. She wanted to throw her body at him, but she felt something was in her hand. She looked at her hand and was surprised that an IV needle was pinned on her right hand. "This? Why am I on an IV?" She asks Andrew.
"Last night after you arrived, your hand immediately underwent minor surgery. And brother Ryan put you under general anesthesia so you can sleep longer." Andrew’s face darkened at the thought of last night.
Mel was surprised it was already morning!?
Andrew adds, "Wife, did you know that your hand is badly injured? Your wound almost got infected..." Andrew said calmly, but in Mel’s ears, she felt that her husband was scolding her right now.
"My kind husband... I’m really sorry... I will never do that again. I know I was wrong...." She lowered her head and did not dare to see him. For some reason, seeing her husband’s face, the sadness that she felt yesterday resurfaced.
Mel felt her husband pull her into his arms. "No, dear... don’t feel sorry. As long as you come back to me safe, that’s enough." He released her and tilted his head slightly to see her face before he continued, "Wife, can you stop crying... I feel my heart hurt to see you cry like this...." He said while wiping her tears with his hand.
Mel nods, but she still can hold her tears. Andrew hugged her again, and let her cry until she was tired.
