Chapter 304: Unaware
Time flies by so fast. It’s the first day of June.
Ten days since Mel and Andrew returned from country M.
And for the past few days. Mel has been busy in her Playroom. She rarely shows up at the office, let alone chat with her friends. Because she was putting her mind and energy into the ’Invisible Shield.’
Last night her new gadget ’Invisible Shield’ finally successfully conducted the first trial, and the results amazed her. Even the large bullets from the sniper rifle couldn’t cut through her ’Invisible Shield.’ Apart from being impenetrable to bullets, she also upgrades the invisible shield resistant to hot objects, fire, and explosions. Makes her so excited and happy.
However, this morning she was a little sad. Because she had to temporarily separate from her husband. Andrew had to go on a business trip to New York early this morning. He will spend about 2 nights and 3 days on the trip.
Actually, she wanted to go to New York with him, but because she had lacked sleep the last few days, Andrew didn’t give her permission to go with him. She agrees with him. She has indeed been sleep-deprived in the past few days and her body feels tired easily.
And her husband asked her to attend the monthly dinner at the W Mansion to represent him. But, before she goes to the W Mansion this noon, she will meet her gang ’Play Hard and Eat Hard’ for lunch together at Wolfgang Steak House.
She hadn’t visited this place in a long time, so she was looking forward to her lunch date with them.
And Mel was grateful because her husband, for once, allowed her to eat steak. But it had to be cooked well done. Mel had to agree to it or no steak for her. It didn’t matter to her. Most importantly, she wants to vent her longing by eating as much as possible at her favorite restaurant.
