Chapter 300: Just Need You
At Royal City.
Mel finished her bath after 30 minutes. She immediately put on her white nightgown and checked her cellphone. Afraid there’s news from the hospital. But she felt relieved because she found nothing. She sat on the sofa and read her company email instead.
After a while, she felt hungry. After asking Max about her husband’s position, she found out Andrew was cooking on the second floor. She immediately went to the second floor.
This was the first time she came to this floor. It turns out the second floor is a family area. She saw an ample open space. There is a large L sofa and flat-screen TV, on the other side there is a fully equipped modern kitchen with a dining area.
Mel approached her husband, who was busy in the kitchen. Before she came to him, Andrew saw her. They smile at each other. Mel quickened her pace then hugged his waist from behind while peeking at what he was doing. She saw her husband was boiling something in a reasonably large pressure cooker.
"What are you cooking?" Mel was curious about his cooking because she seldom saw her husband using such a big pressure cooker.
Andrew smiles as her arms wrap around his waist. He turns his body and embraces her while kissing the top of her hair. "I made ginseng chicken stew."
"Y-You what?" Mel was dumbfounded. Earlier, Andrew asked what she wanted to eat. Mel carelessly answered that about wanting to eat the ginseng chicken stew that Lilly made for her. "So, you could cook it?" she asked in disbelief.
Andrew didn’t answer, but he took his wife’s hand and led her to sit on the island near the kitchen. "This is my first time making this kind of dish." He laughed before continuing... "Earlier, I had called my mother to ask for the recipe." He said while giving his wife fresh fruit... "Wife, you eat this first, huh. The main meal will only be finished in a few minutes."
