Chapter 249: Pregnant
As Andrew and Mel came down to the dining room. They only saw Lilly in the room waiting for them.
"Mom, where are the others?" Andrew asked his mother as he entered the room while holding her wife’s hand.
"They’re fishing in the lake...." Lilly got up from her chair and immediately signaled the maid to prepare breakfast for Andrew and Mel. "Daughter, sit here...."
Mel immediately approached Lilly, "Mom, sorry I slept too long..." She was very embarrassed when she found out that Andrew’s family rule; Breakfast was always at 7 AM and her husband just told her a while ago. She was very embarrassed when she realized they had come downstairs to the breakfast room, quite late. It was past 9 in the morning.
Early this morning, they were making love a few times. Mel felt her energy was drained. She needed to replenish it by sleeping for a while before getting up.
"Daughter, Mom can understand. Newlyweds are like that...want to linger in bed and don’t want to do anything but cuddle." Lilly smiles and holds Mel’s pale hands gently before continuing her words... "Dear, I’ve been there before, just like you... so I know what it’s like to be a newlywed." She smiles while helping the maid arrange the dish on the table for Andrew and Mel.
Mel was stunned hearing what Lilly said. She glanced at her husband, who was sitting beside her. She glared at him while scolding him through her eyes as if to say, It’s all because of you, now I’m so embarrassed to hear Mom say that.
But her husband just smiled, and from the look in his eyes, Mel could tell that he agreed with what his mother said.
