Chapter 212: Promise
"And, I need you to pursue grandpa as soon as possible because from what I see, he doesn’t seem too enthusiastic about treating this disease."
Mel felt her body tense.
"Brother Ryan, are you sure?" Instantly her aura turned sad.
Ryan laughed at the sister-in-law’s reaction. He quickly corrected his sentence, "Well, I just guessed. You better talk to him."
"Alright. Thanks, brother. I’ll talk to him now." She stood up from the sofa. But, before leaving, she said... "Brother Ryan, I’ll be out of town in two nights, and it seems I will be difficult to contact by phone. If there’s something significant relating to grandpa, you can call Hiro. He will help you to find me."
Ryan was confused as to what she meant. But, he just nodded, and after that, he said goodbye.
Mel went back into Grandpa’s room to pursue him to do treatment of his cancer.
"Grandpa, I heard that Grandpa must be going to country M to meet Dr. Robert?" Mel sat beside his bed.
"Dr. Ryan told you?"
"Hmm, he said grandfather didn’t want to do the treatment. Why?" Mel looked at him with a serious look... "Doesn’t grandpa want to see me get married? Don’t want to see me having kids? How can grandfather not be eager to recover?" She stopped when she realized her voice was starting to tremble as she spoke her heart out.
Slowly she turned her gaze away from Grandpa’s face. It felt like something was squeezing her chest, which suddenly felt so tight.
