Chapter 168: Meet Uncle Liam
It was already 4 PM when Irina knocked on her office door. Irina informs her that Uncle Liam had arrived and was waiting in the lounge.
She asks Irina to take Uncle Liam to her office.
Mel standing in front of the large glass window waiting for Uncle Liam to arrive. She had not seen him in a long time. The last time she saw him was when she was 10 years old, a few months before she and her mother suddenly moved to Moscow.
At the time, she was too young to understand what happened to her mother and father. But one thing she remembered was that their move was really too sudden.
They didn’t bring anything. Only body and passport in hand. They also did not have time to say goodbye to their closest family and friends. Only Grandma took them to the airport. After she wakes up from the coma, things start to clear up when Grandma tells her why they had to run away from J City.
"Little Mel?" Mel suddenly turned around to look at the door when she heard her uncle’s voice. She saw a tall, thin man with round glasses standing in front of the open door, his face looking shocked.
"U-uncle Liam..." Mel walked over to him. "It’s me, Mel. I hope uncle doesn’t forget me."
Uncle Liam stops his step right before Mel. He lifts his hand and taps the top of her hair. He does that as a habit when he meets his little Niece, "You’re already this tall. You look more and more like your mother."
Mel smiled as she asked uncle Liam to sit on the sofa. Then she instructed Irina to prepare tea for him.
