Chapter 36: Are You Crazy?
Mel approached the scene; she stopped a few meters behind a large tree. She carefully surveyed the crime scene; there she saw a big man in a black suit slumped on the ground; he got shot. On the other side, she saw three big men dragging a boy into a van parked on the side of the road.
Her eyes widen; she couldn’t believe what she was seeing. Is someone kidnapping a child in broad daylight? In this crowded place? Are they tired of living?
When Hiro arrived at Mel’s side, he immediately let out his frustration "B-boss, are you crazy? What are you doing?"
She didn’t answer. But instead asked back with an innocent expression, "Hiro, are they making a movie?"
Hiro "....."
After Mel saw the kidnapper’s van moving, she immediately ran towards the big man who was trying to stand up to chase the kidnapper’s car. "Sir, you are injured. I will chase the car, and I will tell you where they were heading. And, I suggest you seek help immediately. Here, it’s my cell phone number." She gave him her name card.
Mel turned her gaze at Hiro, who was standing behind her. "Hiro, call an ambulance, now!"
The big man winced in pain while holding his stomach. "M-miss, please chase them, use my car. I will seek help quickly..."
Mel didn’t wait for him to finish his sentence. She already runs towards the man’s SUV parked on the side of the road. "Hiro, you drive." Hiro spontaneously followed Mel’s orders.
Mel gently pressed the AI sticker behind her ear and pointed her phone to the car she chases. "Max, do you see it? Track the car in front of me. Make all the traffic lights it passes red, slow them down as much as possible. And scanned all channels, find out the identity of the boy kidnapped." Only Mel could hear Max’s voice; Hiro couldn’t hear it.
Hiro glanced at Mel when he heard her talking to her super-advanced AI MAX. When he first found out that Mel had a super-smart assistant, he was even more amazed at her. His Boss is truly a genius.
