Chapter 14: Mel’s Crazy Idea
This morning, she’s promised to meet Hiro, her assistant whom she appoints as the MT Group CEO. She believes in him; she considers him like a real brother.
Hiro once told her that she was a sort of Goddess of Help for his family. Because Mel has helped Hiro’s family resolve clan conflicts where his parents were kidnapped and nearly killed. Since then, he has tried to repay Mel’s kindness by devoting himself to Mel’s dreams and becoming Mel’s assistant.
Hiro has been assisting Mel since she attended high school in M country. He helps Mel a lot in her business and personal affairs. Without Hiro, Mel would not have made it to this point, making MT Group a fast-growing company in this country.
Hiro is gifted, particularly in business. He comes from a wealthy family in his country, Japan. His parents had wanted him to continue the family business, helping his brother. But when Hiro explained his dreams, his parents immediately supported his decision.
And he is still faithfully serving as a personal assistant, and now he has become CEO at MT Group.
Mel wants her identity as the Owner of the MT Group to be secret, on a handful knows. People closest to her and people she trusted the most. All daily and routine matters of MT Group are handled directly by Hiro.
In the Company, people know Mel as the developer and person behind Intelligent Technology. Only Hiro and essential people in management know Mel’s true identity as Owner.
Now it’s 10 am, and Mel is ready to go.
It was freezing outside, as she has expected. She left Empire Apartment wearing thick clothes. She’s only walked towards the meeting place as her Apartment is only a short distance to MT Group’s Head Office. The office, which is under construction, is in the same business district as her Apartment. Even on the same road, the main road. This area is an élite neighborhood; only upper classes people own or rent apartments around here.
