Chapter 220: There is a Chance
"Korina, are you sure the Crown Prince will appear tonight?" Gwen was worried that Crown Prince Eleon wouldn’t come as usual; Usually, Crown Prince Eleon didn’t show up if there was a party in the palace. He just stayed in a closed room with his friends and didn’t mingle with any other guests.
"Gwen, Crown Prince Eleon will definitely show up! According to my sources... tonight he will open the party with the first dance. And the most interesting thing is; he will choose a woman to dance with. It is said that the woman he chooses will be a candidate as the woman who will be engaged to him...." Korina chuckled when she saw Gwen’s eyes beaming.
"My friend, Gwen. Forget whatever you think you want to do tonight." Korina places her hand to cover her mouth and laughs at Gwen before she continues her words, "His Highness will never notice you. Not even a glance."
"Korina! Don’t make fun of Gwen like that... She also has a chance. No one knows who his highness will choose." Amber felt sorry for Gwen because Korina’s words were so rude. She could see in Gwen’s eyes that she was angry.
"Amber looks like you don’t know anything!" Korina stopped laughing, but they could tell that she was still mocking Gwen from her voice.
Amber was speechless, looking at childish Korina. She shifted her gaze elsewhere, ignoring Korina. Although she saw Gwen as a rival, she didn’t have the heart to say it in front of her. How could Korina be able to say such vicious words to Gwen? Doesn’t she know the consequences if Gwen reports to her parents?
Gwen’s heart almost exploded when she heard Korina’s hurt words. How could she humiliate her in front of Amber and others around? She can listen to a few mocking laughs because of Korina’s words. Bloody hell!
She wanted to reply to Korina with more hurtful words, but she held herself and tried to calm her burning heart. She couldn’t show her anger now, or her most extensive plan would be exposed. She will punish this lowly Korina later.
Gwen could only smile at Amber, who defended her.
