Chapter 147: Plan To Propose (1)
When Allynna and her family were on the second floor. Leon headed to the library on the first floor. It’s at the back of the castle with a view of the blue sea. He was bored waiting for Alynna in the living room while his father and the elders fished in the lake. Leon also bores because he is alone while his mother has gone for quite some time now. It seems she went to the tiny house behind the castle that she usually lived in when she visited this island.
His grandfather’s library is vast. On each side stood sturdy shelves of old wood towering upwards. All of it was filled with neat and clean books. Not a trace of dust could be seen there.
There is a gold-colored cupboard with glass doors just behind the large workbench. Leon glanced at the closet, his eyes fixed on the old roll of parchment. All the confidential information about the empire and how to cultivate rare and powerful abilities was on that parchment. And all of it was written by his grandfather.
The golden cupboard can only be opened by his grandfather. Only a few parchments and a diary that Grandpa allowed him to read. Makes him so curious. He tried to persuade his grandfather to give him a chance to read, but his grandfather vehemently refused.
Leon deeply sighs when he remembers the last time he tried his luck. It was about three months ago, and his grandfather still refused.
The most exciting thing in this library was a book about the advanced technology he had ever seen on this earth. These technology books have inspired him to make all the gadgets or programs his Royal Intelligent Division uses.
This library became his favorite place in this castle. He always spent his time here when he was visiting his grandfather. Almost all the books here have been read, thanks to his ability to read fast like a scanner. Just once at a glance, all the words appear in his mind. He can keep what he sees in his mind and recall the information when he needs it.
Leon walked around looking at the exciting book he wanted to read today. After he passed the row of books about creatures, he stopped his track right before the shelf near the large glass window. Above it, there is a sizable black inscription written "HEALER".
All the books on this shelf he had not read. He’s not interested in the Healer field. But because his girl has this ability, he wants to read about this topic if one day she asks him about Healer.
