Chapter 135: Family Meeting (7)
Leon, who was standing beside Allynna, could clearly hear what was in her mind. His hands slowly caressed her back to give her energy.
"Allynna!" Leon calls her gently. When the girl looked at him, he was surprised to see her slightly red eyes. Instantly he became afraid would leave her in this room with her parents. Can she handle it?
This is her first time meeting her biological parents after seventeen years apart. He wants Allynna to be able to chat with her family without him in the room. Right now, he was an outsider. It felt unethical if he stayed with them.
Their eyes still looked at each other. Leon whispered very close in her ear, "I’ll be waiting for you outside, My Love. Now, you can talk to your parents...." Seeing her looking surprised by his words made him feel worried. He patiently waited until she said something.
Since then, Allynna has been nervous about meeting her parents. She was afraid that her parents didn’t like her or that her heart couldn’t accept them.
She really wanted to say something to her parents, who now looked so happy and sad to see her. But, For some reason, her tongue feels numb. She can’t say a single word. Even her muscles seemed to betray her. They didn’t follow her brain’s commands to move more relaxedly. She felt helpless. Soon, she grabbed Leon’s arm. Now they are standing and looking at each other.
"Leon, should I speak alone with them?" She asked through her mind. While Allynna was still struggling with her feelings, her parents and Xavier in the room could only patiently wait for her. They could understand that their daughter was still shocked to meet them at this time.
"Allynna, you should! Can you not think of anything else!? I mean, they are your parents. They really miss you and want to hug you. My Love, don’t think about anything else like being afraid they won’t like you." Leon smiles at her. The girls still grab his arms tightly.
He continued, "They love you so much, you can hear what they think, right? So, you should give them a chance to talk to you. Don’t worry, I will stay outside, you can call me if you feel you can’t handle it. How?" Leon rubs her hair gently as if he wants to encourage his girl to be brave.
After a few minutes of staring at Leon, finally, Allynna nods slightly. Leon is right. She had to give her parents and herself a chance to talk.
