Chapter 91: Xavier Moon
"Guys, don’t be afraid. I’m still your old friend Allynna." She said with a warm smile, "The only difference now is I have a fiancé. And he’s a bit protective of me. But, as long as you do not harm me and talk nasty things about me, my fiance will not even think to harm you guys. So, please just speak casually to me..." She tries to make them relax, but what she does only makes them even more tense. Allynna frowned, looking at her two best friends... "Did you guys curse me in your mind?" Allynna asks in disbelief.
They both nod again, but this time their faces look pale like they just saw a grim reaper who comes to collect their soul.
Allynna is utterly speechless.
She quickly looked at Leon. She was shocked when she saw Leon’s face seemed so tense and darker as if a dark fire appeared behind his back and his eyes looked so fierce at Lizzy and Helan.
She immediately speaks to him through her mind, "Brother Leon, please be patient and don’t overthink about what they’ve said. We are like that when we meet. We always cursed each other. It was clearly just a joke... please just ignore them, could you?" With her calm jade-like eyes, she pleads for forgiveness.
After a few seconds, Allynna saw his face turn calmly again, and he nodded to her. She took a deep sigh of relief. It was too damn closed! Her two friends almost vanished from this world by her fiancé’s wrath. Deep inside, she vows to teach the prince to be more patient and much less hot-headed.
"Guys listen, you can’t say or think bad things about me from now on." She made sure both of them understood that Leon could know what was on their mind. They nodded quickly.
"Well, I can’t tell you guys how long I’ve known His Highness. He proposed to me when we were all still in high school, back in Sarlun. The last few weeks before Final Test, to be precise." Allynna paused when she saw Helan and Lizzy freeze in their place.
She continued, "Back then, I didn’t know his real identity. I just knew his name, Leon. And I only found out who he really was when I moved to the capital. Sorry, if I didn’t tell you guys sooner. However, I did intend to tell you once you got here...and I did it, right?" Allynna smiled slightly when she saw them nodding again.
