Chapter 82: Weird Rule
Ikaris focused on driving the car. Occasionally he stole glances at Lady Allynna behind through the rearview mirror. He saw the lady keep silent without saying a single word to him.
This was the second time he had met her. He had no information about her to start a conversation with. He just found out about her family in Sarlun. But he firmly believed that the information was false. He knows the crown prince made it that way on purpose.
Even though out of four people the Crown Prince confidants, he was the smartest among them in technology, especially hacking. However, he couldn’t find the slightest clue about Lady Allynna after trying so many times. He will never defeat the Crown Prince Eleon firewall system. He was top-notch among people in this empire. As if he has a divine mind. He was the creator of this kind of advanced tech in this empire.
Now, Ikaris felt complicated in his heart.
He needed to make Lady Allynna feel comfortable with him and not feel as awkward as she was now. They are cousins. They should look close and familiar to each other, right?
He had received orders from the Crown Prince to be her bodyguard disguised as a cousin. And because of this assignment, he was forced to go to college again. Even when he was 12 years old, he had devoured all the knowledge of college students... so there was no point in him having to go to college anymore.
After so many deep sighs in his heart, Ikaris finally tried to speak to her...
"Lady Allynna, please don’t feel awkward with me..." Ikaris’s words make Allynna look at him. He continued, "His Highness assigned me to be your bodyguard. So, from now on, I will guard you everywhere you go. Hence I hope you don’t feel awkward with me anymore...."
"Ikaris, I know. I will try." Allyna smiles. She has the same thought as Ikaris.
