Chapter 24: The List of Question
"My Lady, after you," Geoffrey’s voice made Allynna snap out. She turned away from Leon’s back, disappeared behind the door, and looked at Geoffrey.
"So, your name is Sir Geoffrey?" Allynna asks him with her respectful voice. She was sure this thin man was Sir Leon’s butler.
"My Lady, please don’t call me sir. Just call me by name, Geoffrey," He lowered his head even more, not daring to see her face. Prince Eleon will behead him if he knows; Lady Allynna still calls him ’Sir.’
Allynna was speechless. She felt that the way Geoffrey and the other servants in this mansion treated her was so foreign to her.
She didn’t know what she should do or say to them. Moreover, Leon didn’t explain how she should act in front of these people. This all made her even more confused.
Allynna walked ahead while Geoffrey told her the way from behind. She glanced at Geoffrey a few times, but this man was still avoiding eye contact with her. She feels amused looking at how he acts before her. Now, she began to suspect that Geoffrey was afraid of her.
After arriving at the second floor, Allynna saw two large doors next to each other. Geoffrey asked her to walk towards the door on the left.
Allynna was mesmerized by the grandeur of the room. It looks so luxurious in her eyes. She had never seen gold-decorated furniture like this before and was blinding her eyes. She stood in her place until Geoffrey closed the door and left her alone in the large room.
She gasped slightly when she realized the room was the same size as the first floor of her house. She looked around, but a few moments later, she felt her head dizzy with this luxury.
