After a few moments, drawn in her thoughts, Iris slowly turned her gaze to Xiu, but she saw him looking in Xavier’s direction.
Iris could guess they were now communicating with each other. She waited for them, but when she saw Xiu’s expression slowly stiff, she couldn’t help but interrupt him — afraid these fathers and sons would fight each other.
"F-Father, where do you come from? Impossible you come from this lower realm, right!?" She finally asked him something she wanted to know about Xiu’s origin.
"I come from the upper realm, just like my son, Xavier–" Xiu didn’t continue his words. He was taken aback when he saw Iris’s expression; she gasped in shock.
"U-Upper realm??" Iris remembers Gavriel telling her that he wanted to become a true angel because he tried to ascend to the upper realm — that place belongs to God. Even a half-angel like Gavriel can’t enter that place. If Xiu comes from the Upper Realm, it means Xavier also comes from that place.
Iris narrowed her eyes at Xiu for a few minutes before she turned her gaze to Xavier. Seeing how calm he was now standing with his back facing her, for some reason, she felt like something was stuck in her heart—like there were still many secrets that this man was hiding from her.
After a few moments, she finally talked to him through their mental mind connection, ’Xavier, your father—’ her words stopped as Xavier slowly turned to look at her; she could see a worried gaze in his eyes. She continued, ’Y-Your father is a G-God? Or an angel like Lucian?’
Xavier didn’t utter anything, but his gaze never left her.
Iris was even more curious about his unusual act, which she had never seen before. She asks again, ’I hear only God and Angel could ascend to the upper realm... so you and your father were a God!?’ She had never imagined Xavier was a God, but hearing Xiu’s words, she didn’t know how to react to this new information.
