Chapter 171: Meet Killian Darkwood
At that moment, Killian and Justin entered the dining room. Their jaws dropped to the floor as they witnessed their Lord kneeling before Iris, putting a shoe on her.
Killian brought his head closer to Justin and whispered, ’Man, what you said is true; our Lord’s coldness finally melted...’ Before he could finish his words, he felt a cold, solid aura about to engulf him. He swallowed silently.
"Milord, I will leave now, see you..." said Killian, not wanting to linger in this place for a few more minutes as he could turn into an ice sculpture. However, Xavier’s voice resonated in the room before he could teleport.
"Killian, come and convey your greetings to my wife!" Xavier said casually, but it sounded more like a dire warning to Killian. He immediately turned and walked to the dining table to greet Iris.
"Where are you going, Justin!? Come here and pay your respects to your Milady!" Xavier glanced at Justin, who was about to exit the room.
Justin’s body froze. He had been on the verge of fleeing, but it seemed he couldn’t, and he was sure that Xavier had already heard his thoughts. Justin could only berate himself internally for gossiping about Xavier and Iris to Killian.
’What a foolish move!’ He muttered to himself while walking to the dining table, scolding Killian in his heart for manipulating his mind and making him discuss their Lord’s love life.
Iris maintained her smile while stifling a laugh, watching Justin and Killian. She could tell that Xavier had severely scolded these two.
"Hello, Mr. Killian, it’s nice to meet you finally," Iris greeted him. She was somewhat surprised by Killian’s appearance; he appeared older. She could guess that this man was of a similar age to her Grand Uncle Finley. He was tall and slender with gray hair and wore gold-rimmed glasses perched on his sharp nose. He resembled a typical man from southern Europe.
