Iris’ eyes are straight looking into his eyes, thrilled to hear his answer.
However, Xavier didn’t rush to answer her. Instead, he asked, "How do you know about an Angel?" while placing her sitting beside him.
Xavier’s question clearly caused Iris to blame herself again for revealing too much about what she knew.
She opened her mouth several times, but no words came out, as if all the words in her mind had betrayed her.
Looking as though she was clueless, Xavier chuckled and continued, saying, "Well, I’m not an angel. But, I’m not human either..."
Once again, Iris felt her heart drop slightly.
Countless questions were now dancing in her mind, ’Xavier was neither an angel nor a human!? And he can teleport. I also can’t hear his thoughts; his mental strength is greater than mine. Who is he?’
She stared intently into his eyes, trying to figure out what was odd about him.
It didn’t take long. Instantly, the fog in her mind slowly cleared, and everything she saw in Xavier and around him became clearer: his pale face, his cold body temperature, and as she remembered, she rarely saw him eat with her. The most important of all his peculiar traits is that he can kill female vampires.
Iris’ hands suddenly clenched into fists, realizing who he was. But her voice faded when she tried to ask him to confirm her doubts.
She couldn’t utter a single word.
