When Xavier returned to Iris’ room, his eyes slowly darkened once more upon seeing Iris lying on the bed, her face still pale. Although her body continued healing while she slept, the process took longer than expected.
He carefully took the pill that Lucian had given him and gently placed it into Iris’ mouth. Like before, he kissed her lips, channeling water to help the medicine enter her body. A slight sense of relief washed over him as he observed the medicine entering her body.
"I hope tomorrow you will have fully recovered, Iris," he whispered while gently holding her cold hand. "Did you know? I feel so lonely without you by my side... So you better wake up!"

The next day, Xavier left Iris’ room after confirming her improving condition and sought out Niles. He found Niles standing nearby and greeted him.
Xavier gestured for Niles to sit. Then he elegantly sat on the sofa opposite his loyal person, who only dared to sit after him.
"Have you completed the task of altering their memories regarding Iris?" Xavier asked once he saw Niles comfortably sitting.
The day before, he had instructed Niles to carry out a plan to erase the memories of everyone who knew Iris, making them believe she had passed away during an incident several months earlier.
This difficult decision was made to protect Casandra and Finley and lighten Iris’s burden on her grandmother.
