"What is your plan for today?" Cassandra asked.
"Hmm, today... I will stay at home, but tomorrow morning, I plan to go to Darkhill City," Iris replied, glancing at her grandma. Observing the concern in her grandmother’s eyes, she reassured her, saying, "Don’t worry, Grandma. I won’t be staying there overnight. I’ll return the same day."
Cassandra shook her head in response and set her half-eaten sandwich down before speaking, "I’m not concerned about that. What worries me is... that you’ll be driving there. You’ve never driven such a long distance before, Iris. Did you forget how you had an accident?"
Iris was rendered speechless. She wasn’t the young Iris. Besides, a three-hour drive to Darkhills was no big deal for her.
"How about taking the train there? It only takes 30 to 40 minutes to reach Darkhills," Cassandra suggested.
"Oh, Grandma... You’re so brilliant! How could I forget about that option? Don’t worry, I’ll take the first train," Iris smiled to reassure her. However, deep down, she scolded herself for lying to her grandma. She needs her car to investigate corrupt police, so she needs to drive there.
