Chapter 50: Selina
Justin returned shortly after with a wide grin, placing the coffee cup on the table.
"Iris, this is your favorite Latte. Try it..." His eyes beamed curiously, looking at Iris.
"Latte? I don’t like lat—" Iris suddenly stopped, remembering that maybe her younger self liked it. "Thanks, Justin," she corrected her words quickly and started to drink her Latte.
Calmly, Iris tried to drink it even though she didn’t like it. She hoped Justin didn’t hear her and became suspicious.
’Damn it! You should be careful not to make any mistakes in front of this man. He might become suspicious of you.’
After a few sips of her Latte, Iris began to feel a comforting warmth spreading through her. Setting the cup down gracefully, she shifted her attention to Justin, who was engrossed in playing games on his cell phone.
"Justin, can I bring my car back today?"
Arching his brows, Justin looked up, a confused glint flashing in his gaze. "Aren’t you still traumatized from driving?" he asked. Iris shook her head with a reassuring smile.
"No longer," Iris replied casually. "Xavier actually allowed me to drive his car from campus to this place, and he said my driving skill was okay," she grinned happily.
