Chapter 26: There Is No Other Choice But To Fight
Iris couldn’t help but grit her teeth while walking quickly.
’These guys don’t seem to be easily intimidated, huh!’ she thought while scanning her surroundings, searching for a more crowded place, hoping that being around other people would deter them from causing any harm to her.
As she continued her hurried pace for several minutes, she began to feel her luck running out. The road she was on now was even emptier than the previous one, with rare and uninhabited buildings around her. The area was poorly lit, and some streetlights weren’t even functioning, creating an eerie atmosphere.
’Darn it! What a bad move, Iris...’ She scolded herself for her foolishness. With no other viable options, she knew she had to confront them directly. Fighting seemed to be the only way out of this situation.
Before Iris could slow her steps, she heard people behind her laughing and using foul language talking about her. Their words fueled her anger, and she wanted to beat them all to death!
"What a stupid woman! Hey, woman! You can stop now. This road leads to the forest," A loud chuckle echoed through the empty street. "...No one can help you there."
"Hahaha, looks like this girl is choosing her own grave in the forest!"
Another loud laugh rang out, "Bwahaha, this chick looks so hot, it would be a waste if we didn’t have some fun with her before killing her. Guys, what do you think?" he glanced at all his comrades.
"What a good idea. Guys, I’ll have my turn first..."
