Chapter 439: Be Honest
Evan wanted to know how the Hester Family was doing—did Oliver settle them?
He knows that Keira’s kidnapping was orchestrated by Archy Hester. However, he did not tell Sean about this matter. Sean only knows that Keira is just out of luck and was kidnapped by drug syndicate members.
He had no intention of telling Sean, worried that Oliver would get in trouble if Sean found out. The reason Archy Hester kidnapped Keira was to take revenge on Oliver.
Oliver was utterly speechless. He tried to sit up straighter before he answered Evan’s question. "I’ve done what you suggested. And I will go to Hester’s shareholders’ meeting at the beginning of the year as the largest shareholder. So everything is under the plan..." he explained to him honestly.
"Wait! Oliver Hester? You’re from the Hester family in Nova City?" Sean Spencer was surprised to know that.
Oliver couldn’t avoid it anymore. Sooner or later, Sean and his parents will discover that he is part of the Hester family if her relationship with Keira is exposed.
"Yes," said Oliver while looking at Sean closely. He wanted to know Sean’s reaction. Has Sean changed his point of view toward him now? Will he be less friendly than before?
But what he was afraid of did not happen. This man is still the same. In contrast, he was curious about him.
"I didn’t expect you to turn out to be one of the sons of the Hester family," said Sean. "But why are you working for my cousin? Why don’t you go back to work for your family?"
