Chapter 364: Slap
Randy doesn’t know how long Rose froze in place. Without saying anything. Without moving. It was as if she had turned into a statue.
Her usually bright eyes turned chilly, like a cold lake. If her eyes didn’t blink, Randy must have thought the girl had actually turned into a statue of the ice goddess.
But a second later, Randy saw her chilly face slowly turn black as if someone had just hung a dark cloud near her head.
Still can’t digest Randy’s sentences. "He Dies!?" Rose murmurs under her breath.
Oliver died because of her—He protected her from the tree branch—how can she carry on her life with this burden?
After a while, Rose could express what was on her mind.
"Please tell me, Randy... you’re playing a prank on me, right? This isn’t real!!! I knew my dad could have saved him. My dad never lost a patient on his operating table. Never!!!" She stared intently at Randy—her eyes had lost their usual radiance.
There was still doubt in her mind. Oliver did not die, but he was kicking and alive.
"Sorry, I can help your best friend..." Rose was surprised to hear her father’s voice from behind Randy. Her eyes trembled at her father standing there with his gloomy face.
"What!! Even her godly doctor-father can’t help Oliver!? So, is this news true? Oliver died?" Rose said to herself, "No!! I can’t believe it..." She gritted her teeth and threw away the blanket.
"Dad, Evan, I want to see him... I want to see Oliver’s body!"
