Chapter 318: Dishonest
As soon as Rose left the room, she was surprised to see her husband staring at her with an unfathomable expression. Makes her feel awkward.
"Hubby ... why are you looking at me like that? Is there anything you want to say?" Rose asked curiously.
Evan didn’t answer her immediately, but he took her hand and quickly left the place. Once they were outside, Evan glanced at her again before saying,
"Are you okay?" He glanced at his wife, who was walking beside him.
Evan’s heart was still tense at the thought of what had happened in the room. Previously, when he was waiting for her, he did not let his guard down for a second. Just in case something happened to her inside. Because he believed that the evil woman would obviously hurt his wife verbally.
But he felt strange when he saw his wife coming out of the room. Her facial expression looked normal.
Not the slightest hint of anger or sadness radiated from her eyes. There was only a sweet smile on her face.
"Yeah, I’m fine. But ... that woman doesn’t believe my words and still blames me for her son’s death." Rose chuckled before continuing. "Whatever happened, I feel more relieved because I’ve been honest with her. Whether she believes me or not, that’s her business ...."
"I’m glad you’re feeling better ..." Evan slightly rubbed her back as they continued walking towards the parking lot.
Rose took a deep breath before continuing, "I don’t want to deal with that woman anymore. I hope she doesn’t bother my mother and me anymore ...."
"Wife, I promise, that woman won’t have the chance to do that again ... I will make sure she stays in prison forever. You don’t have to worry ..." he said quietly.
