Chapter 197: Honeymoon (5)
After several hours of flying, the plane finally landed at Florence International Airport.
Their plane parks in the VIP lane for special private planes. When she got off, Rose could see a red sports car with the brand Ferrari parking not far from their aircraft. She also saw a few men with army look posture with their Rayban standing near the vehicle. One man caught her attention. He saw a tall man with shoulder-length blonde hair who looked very much like the villain Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies. However, this man looked younger. She saw him walk toward their plane.
"Boss!" The younger Lucius Malfoy greeted Evan respectfully. Evan replied with a slight nod. Then the man looked at Rose, "Lady Boss, welcome to Italy." His smile shows his raw white teeth. "I’m Lucas Allen, one of Boss Evan’s assistants in Europe." Rose was surprised to hear Lucas Allen’s British accent and even more surprised to realize that Evan has an assistant like Lucas who handles his affairs in Europe.
"Hai, Allen... It’s nice to meet you." Rose accepted his polite handshake, but before she could touch his hand, Evan pulled her and walked to the car, ignoring Lucas, who smiled awkwardly.
Rose could only smile, looking at his jealous husband. As she walks to the car, she can see the man with a colossal body posture standing near the vehicle more clearly. She was surprised because all of them were foreigners. They are not people from Astington. No wonder Evan didn’t bring his people to Italy. On the big jet plane, there were only the two of them and the cabin crew.
Did Evan hire bodyguards in this country to look after them? She thought.
Rose got into the car as soon as Evan opened the door for her. But Evan didn’t get into the car immediately but chatted with Lucas for a while.
Soon their car left the airport. They did not stop by the city of Florence but took the ring road straight to Tuscany. Behind Evan’s red sports car, Rose could see two black vans following them.
The distance from Florence to Tuscany is not far, only driving around 15-20 minutes. Soon, their car starts to enter Tuscany city with distinctive architectural buildings. She can see the old house’s red and brownstone facades, just like what she saw in the photos and on the TV shows she watched.
However, they did not stop by the city. Their car just passed it along the road, which was getting deserted. Now only a few vehicles passed theirs. And the buildings were getting sparse. Along the route, Rose saw a vast and eye-candy vineyard.
Rose rolled down her windshield, wanting to breathe in some fresh air from the vineyard they passed. The air was fragrant, with a light breeze brushing her face when Evan opened the car hood. She used her shade to feel comfort and looked at her husband, who was driving beside her.
"Husband! Thank you for bringing me to this beautiful place. I really like this place..." Rose paused when she saw a hill in the distance. On top of the mountain was a brick house with a brown roof. On the left and right, the smooth asphalt road they passed was lined up with Italian Cypress trees. It looks so beautiful as if they entered into a painting. The trees were lined up neatly until the villa on the hill.
