Chapter 180: Threaten
"Are you serious?" Evan hesitates to ask his wife to live in this house away from the city and her office. If they stayed here, it would take her about forty-five minutes to reach the business district. She would be wasting so much time just to get to the office.
"Yes! Although this place is far from my office. But I don’t need to go to the office daily, right? I’ll go to the office if there’s an important task...." She can work online from home. Or ask Oliver to come up here if there’s something urgent to talk about.
"Alright! We will talk about it later...." Evan said as they walked again. He felt his step and heart lighter, hearing how sincere his wife’s words were.
Before they enter the house, Rose stops her step abruptly. She looked up to see Evan in the eyes, "Evan, so, we will spend our first night here?" Too shy with her seductive words, Rose darted her eyes elsewhere, unable to see him.
Evan slightly smiled, seeing his wife’s cheeks turn red. He tilted his body closer to Rose. After staring into her eyes for a few seconds. He kissed her forehead gently.
"Wife, we will stay overnight in this place. And, tomorrow, we’re going somewhere... to start our honeymoon."
"W-Where?" Rose was nervous because Evan’s face was so close to hers that she could feel his warm breath brushing against hers. She blinked a few times and didn’t dare to move.
"Sorry, honey, I can’t tell you yet...." He stood straight after seeing his wife’s face and ear getting redder.
"Can you have pity on my heart? My fragile heart always bursts whenever you surprise me, Evan...."
