Chapter 113: Another Mystery
As soon as Evan parked his car, he immediately buckled his seatbelt and sat facing Rose by his side.
"What are you thinking, Rose? Why do you keep silent all the way home? Something is bothering you?" Evan can feel Rose’s aura slightly change when they leave the restaurant. It felt like she was pondering a severe matter.
Rose looked at Evan in silence. At this moment, her mind tells her to ask him about the girl. This is her chance, or she will feel jealous for the rest of her trip to Vale city. And that must not happen, or she will not be able to concentrate on doing her job.
"Evan, can I ask you something?"
"Rose, you are the woman I love and want to spend the rest of my life with. You can ask anything you want to know. No need to ask for permission."
Rose gulps as she hears his words, and her heart melts when she sees his sweet smile. After trying to adjust her emotions, she finally asks him.
"Evan, the girl who talks to you in the restaurant... Who is she? You told me a few days ago that she is someone you know and is unimportant. But, why do I feel you both looked so familiar." Actually, Rose felt weird asking him something like this. It feels embarrassing. She can’t see Evan’s eyes. After finishing her words, she pressed her lips together and looked the other way.
Evan’s lips curled up to form a faint smile when he heard what agitated his girl. He placed his hand on her chin and made her look into his eyes. For a slight second, they only stared at each other lovingly.
"Rose, are you jealous?" Evan questions making Rose almost jump from her seat.
"WHAT!? OF COURSE NOT!!" Rose said quickly, with her voice rising a few octaves.
Evan saw her fists clenched on her thighs. Her surprised reaction like this was a sign that what she was saying was the opposite. His girlfriend is jealous. He smiled silently when his eyes caught how red her cheeks were now. Like someone had just put blush on her. She looks so cute.
